Kyle Lafferty is likely to miss the start of the Scottish Premier League season with champions Rangers.
The 23-year old Northern Ireland international is struggling with a groin injury and could be in danger of missing the first few weeks of his clubs Scottish title defence.
Rangers are still waiting to hear more on Lafferty's problem but a statement released by the club suggests he could be out for up to six weeks.
"The expectation is he will be sidelined for between four and six weeks and that means he is definitely out of the Jambos (Heart of Midlothian) clash," it read.
