Lafferty committing to Burnley

Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty has committed his immediate future to the Championship outfit and has now set his sights on promotion.

The Northern Ireland international, 20, has attracted admiring glances from Aston Villa, Fulham and Celtic.

"This is my first club and where it has all happened for me, so I owe it to Burnley to do all I can," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"Recently, when I started four or five games, I could tell I was getting tired, but the gaffer kept putting me in the starting XI, which I liked.

"In the end, my legs kind of went and my aim now is to get a bit stronger and concentrate on trying to get the club into the Premiership."
