Milos Lacny has joined Dundee United on loan from Sparta Prague on a 12-month deal.
The 23-year old Slovakian striker will depart the Czech Liga leaders as soon as he receives his International Transfer Certificate.
Tangerines boss Peter Houston is looking forward to having Lacny at his disposal as he strives to push United up the Scottish table.
"His style is different to the strikers we already have at the club and I think he will quickly become a favourite with our fans.
"He showed a desire to come over here on trial and what I witnessed convinced me that he can play a big part in our squad and gives us greater attacking options.
"He will bring pace to our forward line and increases our goal threat.
"I am absolutely delighted to have secured his services for the next 12 months.""Milos is a quality young player," he said.
