Labour Party leader Corbyn: Wenger should leave Arsenal when he wants to

Veteran Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has stated that manager Arsene Wenger should be allowed to leave Arsenal whenever he so chooses.

Arsenal have endured another less-than-flattering campaign and with the fans having lost their patience, there is a lot of pressure under Wenger to resign from his post as Gunners boss.

Despite the poor season, there are still a lot of staunch supporters of Wenger and now lifelong Arsenal fan Corbyn has gone on to lend his support to the Frenchman by stating that the legendary manager should be allowed to leave whenever he pleases due to his past contribution to the club.

Corbyn told the Daily Mirror: "I'm a Wenger man. I like Arsene Wenger, I think he's an amazing manager, a very intelligent man.

"I say to people that feel disappointed in Arsene – he has ensured Arsenal have been in the Champion's League for 20 years. No other club in Europe (other than Madrid) has managed that.

"Of the 92 clubs in the league, pretty well 85 would give their eye teeth to achieve what Arsene Wenger has achieved.

"I think Arsene should go when he wants to go. And we support him."
