LA Galaxy's England star David Beckham admitted some concern when a fan invaded the pitch during yesterday's 3-2 victory over Colorado Rapids.

The fan first gave Becks a high-five and then a brief hug before defender Chris Klein knocked over the invader, who was dragged away by security.

Beckham said: "I was concerned when I first saw him because he didn't have a smile on his face and he didn't have a Galaxy shirt on.

"I didn't know if he was going to give me a hug or something else.

"Luckily he just wanted to give me a high-five and that was the end of it."
