LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham was delighted to collect England cap 109 after last night's victory over Slovakia. "I can't really believe it. It is something you always dream of playing for England, when you are a kid," said Beckham.

"To be on this amount of games and caps up there just above Bobby Moore, an England legend, it's emotional. It means a lot."

He added: "Moments like that make it all worthwhile. You think throughout your career that you hope you will play at Wembley, and that you play for your country.

"I have done it 109 times now and I am very proud of that."
