LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham may call time on his England career after the 2010 World Cup.

The Sunday Mirror says although Beckham has insisted in the past he will always be available for England, the 34-year-old midfielder is having a change of heart.

He is unlikely to make a formal announcement until the New Year, but he has hinted at a change in his thinking by revealing: "I've always said I'll always be available for England.

"I'd like to stay involved in some way, and if I'm not in the squad I'll work hard to try to give myself a chance to be in the squad.

"But you never know, it might come to the point where I will say enough's enough."
