LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham is expected to be named England's squad today - but it could be his last involvement with the Three Lions.
Former Three Lions skipper Becks, who has 97 caps, wants to play on to the 2010 World Cup and has set his heart on winning 100 caps.
But if England fail to reach the Euro 2008 finals he will have some tough talking to do with Gullit about whether he should still make himself available for England.
Becks' international career may soon be over anyway, as this could also be the last squad named by manager Steve McClaren.
The former Manchester United midfielder has been dogged by knee and ankle injuries. But Becks insisted his fitness was "almost there" after his latest American friendly ended in a drab 0-0 draw in Vancouver.
He said: "I was meant to play only half the game but I felt stronger and stronger as the first half went on and wanted to play a little longer.
"My fitness is almost there. One more game, a few more training sessions, and I'll be 95 per cent."
McClaren's squad will be for the friendly in Austria and the final Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia.
