LA Galaxy star David Beckham insists all of England's players are happy with Chelsea's John Terry as captain.

He said: "Whoever got picked to be captain would have deserved it because Rio has had a great season and has been a great servant for Manchester United and England and John Terry has also had a great season.

"Any one of those two could have been captain and not forgetting Steven Gerrard. There are great leaders and captains throughout our team so we are lucky with that.

"We all congratulated JT - and Rio did - so at the end of the day we all stick together and we all believe in our captain.

"We are a team which helps each other out. That is what the manager wants, one thing I know he always wants from his team especially from being in Madrid with him.

"He wants that togetherness in his team and he has got that. It is all about believing in each other."
