Robbie Rogers admits there is some nervous anticipation ahead of first clash with former club Columbus Crew.
The LA Galaxy winger made his name with the Crew between 2007 and 2011 and says Thursday's meeting at the StubHub Center provides a little more excitement than normal.
"I'm always excited, but I'm a little more excited to play against these guys, guys that I pretty much made my career with," Rogers told the Columbus Dispatch. "I'm excited to see the guys."
Of the popularity of the Ohio club, Rogers added: "It seems like the fan base has grown, that people are more aware of the clubs and are more excited.
"When I talk to people, they've been to games and enjoyed their experience. That has definitely grown, (though) I don't know if that's just me being in LA. The play, so far, I don't think it has changed much."
