Forward Edson Buddle scored an early first-half goal, leading the Los Angeles Galaxy past Costa Rican side Club Sport Herediano 1-0 in an international friendly on Tuesday night at The Home Depot Center.

With a roster comprised predominantly of reserves, the Galaxy put out a spirited effort against CS Herediano, recent finalists of Costa Rica's Primera Division.

Defenders Gregg Berhalter and A.J. DeLaGarza and Buddle were the only regulars who started for the Galaxy.
