MLS giants LA Galaxy are being widely tipped to head down under later this year to take on A-League club Newcastle Jets in an exhibition game.
Just as the Galaxy and David Beckham did in 2007 against Sydney FC, the Los Angeles outfit are looking likely to head to Australia again with a match in November being mooted.
Jets executive chairman Ken Edwards confirmed that talks were underway bit did not provide any further details.
"We're talking two dates at the moment, there is a date available in 2010 and if we're not successful with that there is another date in 2011 we're negotiating," he said.
The Galaxy attracted around 80,000 fans to the Sydney Football Stadium three years ago and the Jets will be hoping for a huge turnout at EnergyAustralia Stadium if the trip happens to go ahead.
