Ticket sales for the LA Galaxy v Newcastle Jets are moving along well after the first day they were available to the general public.

The Proticket website was flooded on Wednesday morning with about half the 10,000 tickets snapped up by fans for the November 27 clash at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

All the Northern Hill stand tickets are now gone with only $50 tickets for the Southern Hill remaining.

Jets director of membership, Richard Fisk, confirmed that ticket sales were progressing well.

"The tickets are all selling very strongly across the board. It's not just a football game, it really is an international event," he said.
