LA Galaxy striker Donovan: I would only return to Premiership for Everton

LA Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan hopes to return to Everton.

Donovan says there is no chance of Everton extending his loan spell, so he will go back to Los Angeles today, but he wants to play for the Merseyside club again in the future.

He said: "I would consider coming back. I could never have imagined it would go this well. But I am a member of the Galaxy and I have signed a new deal there. It is a team I love playing for and I am so excited to get back there.

"But my guess would be that if I ever come back to the Premier League, it would be to this club."
