LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane suggests the playing group is fine with Landon Donovan taking his own time to return to training.
Donovan will be back at Galaxy training at the end of March, nearly a month into the 2013 season, after his self-imposed offseason hiatus but Keane says there is no problem in getting himself right for the good of the team.
"Of course, it's difficult when you're having one of your best players [missing], so of course you want him here at the start of the season," said Keane.
"But if the extra two weeks are going to do him a world of good, well, then...good."
The Galaxy begin their MLS Cup defence with a home fixture against Chicago Fire on March 3.
