LA Galaxy star David Beckham's sister is reportedly living off state benefits.

Reports emerged that Lynne Beckham is receiving weekly handouts including income support and tax credits despite the fact Beckham provides for his sister and the three kids.

A source close to Beckham told the Daily Mail that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star was unaware of the benefits Lynne was receiving.

"David had no idea Lynne was on benefits. He bought her the house she lives in. He has always provided for her and her children," the source said.

"He has given her money and anything she needs, so he is clearly baffled and really quite upset."

The 35-year old midfielder is also said to be unhappy with Lynne's relationship with Kevin Briggs, whom she apparently met on Facebook a few weeks ago.
