LA Galaxy have acquired 2013 MLS SuperDraft selection Kofi Opare.

The Ghanaian-born defender was taken with the 24th overall pick in the January draft and has now been officially signed by the back-to-back champions.

Opare, who played four times during pre-season for the Galaxy, is a former University of Michigan player who will be made available for selection for Wednesday night's CONCACAF Champions League quarter-final second leg.
