The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has acquired Generation adidas forward Chandler Hoffman from the Philadelphia Union in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.

A second-year forward who starred at UCLA from 2009-11, Hoffman trained with the Galaxy during the summer of 2010 ahead of the start of his sophomore year. He is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles later tonight and will train with the club for the first time on Saturday.

Hoffman, who will wear the No. 30 shirt, joins the Galaxy after being selected by the Union in the first round (13th overall) of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
