The Galaxy notched up their eighth win thanks to Mike Magee’s 17th minute tap-in after some good work from debutant Tristan Bowen.
LA were without stars Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle but still managed to keep their unbeaten streak alive and are now just two unbeaten matches away from setting a new MLS record for most matches without a loss to start a season.
With a record of 8-0-2, the Galaxy can overtake their own record from 1996 and also take Columbus Crew’s 2000 start down if they can remained undefeated in their next two clashes against the Crew and Houston Dynamo.
