LA Galaxy skipper Robbie Keane is now the top goalscorer in international football who is still in action.
The retirement of Germany ace Miroslav Klose has seen Republic of Ireland striker Keane move into top spot on the world scoring charts for international goals.
Keane's 62 goals for Ireland has him nine behind Lazio's Klose, who ended his international career on Monday, after helping Deutschland win the 2014 World Cup.
Former Tottenham attacker Keane is also three behind Chelsea's Didier Drogba who pulled the curtain on his Ivory Coast career last week.
34-year old Keane, who has 60 goals in 99 appearances for LA, has netted his 62 international goals in 131 outings for Ireland.
