Robbie Keane feels that everybody who has been involved with MLS must have respect for the impact David Beckham has had on the competition and football in North America.
38-year old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Beckham will retire at the end of the French Ligue 1 season after almost two decades at the top and upon hearing that news, LA Galaxy skipper Keane was quick to point out how much the former England international has done for the sport west of the Atlantic.
"He had such a great career everywhere he's been," Keane said.
"I think every player, every professional who's played in MLS, has to be appreciative of what he's done for the game. I think it's almost like what Tiger Woods has done for golf, if you will. David's done that for the MLS."
