LA Galaxy's Ishizaki: Europe to California transition has been easy

LA Galaxy midfielder Stefan Ishizaki has revealed that adjustment to life in California has gone without a hitch.

The 31-year old Swede joined the Galaxy from homeland club Elfsborg earlier this year and admits he is loving life on the west coast of the USA.

Ishizaki took time away from soccer to play the famous Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill Golf Courses recently and admitted it was a brilliant experience which further aided his move from Europe to the States.

"I was very humbled by the experience," Ishizaki said.

"Sometimes you play a course and shoot a low score and you think you're a good player. Those two courses brought me back to earth.

"I've been pretty comfortable from the get-go. Everyone's so nice and helpful. I feel like that's the case in all of California.

"The transition from Europe has been very easy."

Ishizaki has also adapted well to life on the pitch with the Galaxy, scoring two goals in five MLS outings, and playing twice in the CONCACAF Champions League.
