LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan knows very well that the other three teams remaining in the MLS play-offs are all capable of beating anybody else on their day.

Despite the fact that San Jose Earthquakes defeated New York Red Bulls against the odds, FC Dallas eliminated reigning champions Real Salt Lake and Colorado Rapids knocked out Columbus Crew, Donovan is well aware that all the 'lower seeds' are dangerous units.

"All those teams are playing the best in the league right now and that's why they're there," Donovan said.

"We all said Colorado was playing as good as anybody going into it, San Jose has something about them that's working right now and certainly Dallas beating, in my opinion, the second-best team in the league in a two-game series says a lot about them.

"We were very aware of the fact that all the other top seeds lost," Donovan added. "We didn't want that to happen."
