Landon Donovan has added the outright MLS assist record to his long list of individual honors.
The LA Galaxy star provided the help for Robbie Keane's second goal in Saturday night's 3-0 win over Toronto FC at the StubHub Center to move to 136 assists in his MLS career.
Donovan had equaled former New England Revolution star Steve Ralston's previous record of 135 with a treble of assists in last weekend's 4-1 triumph over New York Red Bulls but now holds the record by himself after his 19th of the 2014 season.
The all-time USA national team leading scorer now holds both the MLS assist record as well as the goals record with 144, ten clear of Jeff Cunningham.
Donovan, who has previously played with Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Everton, is set to retire from professional football at the completion of the current MLS season.
The 32-year old, who won the 2009 MLS MVP, has also been named the US Soccer Athlete of the Year on four occasions, has two MLS Cup MVP awards, has been in MLS' Best XI six times and is a five-time MLS Cup winner.
