LA Galaxy forward Adam Cristman has been forced into premature retirement due to a couple of severe concussions sustained this year.
The 27-year old, who joined the Galaxy in January 2011, has announced that he has had to pull the pin on his career and is now looking forward to what lies ahead.
"The concussions I have suffered this year have forced me to retire. While this is not the way I wanted to leave the game, I am excited for what the future holds as I transition into the next phase of my life," Cristman said.
Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena added: "It was a pleasure to have Adam with the Galaxy the last two years and we are saddened to see him have to end his career because of injury.
"We want to wish Adam and his family the best with all his future endeavors and thank him for his service to the club."
During his career, Cristman made over 80 MLS appearances for New England Revolution, Kansas City Wizards (Sporting Kansas City), DC United and of course the Galaxy.
