LA Galaxy's clash with Melbourne Victory a great chance to see Beckham for last time

Football fans in Australia will soon get their chance to see David Beckham playing in the flesh down under for the very last time.

The former Manchester United and England star will be in Melbourne early next month with the LA Galaxy for a friendly against A-League club Melbourne Victory on December 6 at Etihad Stadium.

Event organiser Lou Sticca, of Tribal Sports Management, believes the match will give Melbournians the perfect opportunity to view one of football's biggest names alongside some other stars of the modern game including Robbie Keane (ex-Tottenham, Liverpool), Landon Donovan (USA ace) as well as Harry Kewell who has been involved in the Victory's mediocre beginning to the domestic season.

"This is an opportunity to see David Beckham for the final time here and also a team that is coming off the back of beating Houston Dynamo to win the MLS Cup - and also including Irish star Robbie Keane and USA's Landon Donovan, who is probably the best player America has ever produced," Sticca told The World Game.

"You also have Bruce Arena, who is a World Cup coach, so it's a pretty good mix.

"I don't think fans will be swayed by how well or how poorly Victory are going … but the fact is they are playing the biggest club in America and that's what will generate the interest along, of course, with David Beckham's presence."
