LA Galaxy striker Edson Buddle has praised the influence teammate David Beckham has had on him and said it has helped him realise his World Cup dream. The 29-year old has emerged as a real danger for the USA team at the World Cup which kicks off on Friday and said that playing with England's Beckham has really assisted him in becoming a better player.

"David's been very supportive," Buddle said.

"Playing with him has helped me move up a notch and now it's a dream come true to be at the World Cup finals."
