LA Galaxy's Beckham wants to play as long as he can

LA Galaxy star David Beckham admits he wants to continue playing for as long as he possibly can.

The 36-year old midfielder signed a new two-year deal with the MLS Cup winners this week and even though he will be close to 39 when that contract expires, he can still see himself playing on.

"I still feel young," he said in a Google+ Q&A streamed live on YouTube on Thursday.

"So I'll continue to play the game, as long as I can. I love it.

"My contract now is for two years which will take me up to 39 almost. Then we'll see. I think people expected me even to move away from the Galaxy or retire at the end of this year.

"I'm excited about the next couple of years. We'll see what happens in the future."
