LA Galaxy's Beckham wants Colorado return following three-week absence

David Beckham is eager to return to action with LA Galaxy this weekend after spending just over three weeks on the sidelines.

The star midfielder sprained his left ankle in the September 1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps but is now back in training and is looking to get some game time against Colorado Rapids on Sunday night.

"It's better," Beckham told MLSsoccer.com. "Still a little bit of discomfort, but it's good to be back on the field. [I was out] three weeks in the end. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm back now.

"I hope [I can play in Colorado]. I hope so. Trying to get my fitness back - I was working on fitness while I was injured, but nothing, obviously, like playing games and being in training. Hopefully, I can get out on the field and stay fit this week and be involved [against the Rapids]."
