LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham reportedly turned down advances from both Liverpool and Arsenal before deciding to join AC Milan on loan.

The 34-year old will almost certainly rejoin the Italian giants in January but it has been revealed that the Reds and the Gunners were keen on his services for a short-term deal.

Beckham enjoyed a successful five month period with the Rossoneri last season and is keen to get back there in a bid to enhance his World Cup chances.

"I don't see why it isn't going to happen. I always wanted to go back," Beckham said.
