David Beckham insists he will only sign his next deal purely for football reasons and not to build his brand.
The LA Galaxy star comes out of contract at the end of the current MLS season but is unsure of where he will continue his extensive playing career.
Interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham is now well-known but Beckham says his next move, if he happens to depart Los Angeles, will be from a football viewpoint only and not to tie in with a brand agenda.
"Many people say I go to places as a brand move but I don't. I go because I want to be successful as a football player," he said.
"After my family it's the No 1 priority.
"Professionally I want to be successful and whether it's winning the Champions League, the Premier League or the Primera Division - picking up silverware means the same thing."
