David Beckham said he felt fine to take his place in the LA Galaxy's starting line-up on Sunday.
The former Manchester United captain returned to the States from London on Saturday afternoon after attending Friday's Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton but insisted that he took no effects from the hectic travelling.
"I felt great," Beckham said. "I rested, I slept, I had two really good night's sleep before the game, so I was more than prepared for the game and felt like I played well. It was not an issue."
However, Beckham could do nothing to stop his side conceding an 88th minute goal at Pizza Hut Park to go down 2-1 to FC Dallas. The loss did not alter the Galaxy's Western Conference table position of first but they are only three points clear of Real Salt Lake who have four games in hand.
