LA Galaxy's Beckham: Doesn't matter how old I am, I just want to play

David Beckham says he never feels old on the pitch despite his 36 years.

The LA Galaxy star was Major League Soccer's best player in the All-Stars 4-0 loss to former club Manchester United in New Jersey on Wednesday night and said he felt great for the entire 90 minutes.

Beckham revealed after the match that coach Hans Backe wanted updates on how he was feeling but the former England captain says he never wants to leave the pitch, no matter the situation.

"He just said to me, 'Let me know how you feel before the game and at halftime,'" Beckham said.

"The problem is with me, it doesn't matter how old I am, once I am on the field, I don't want to come off, and I'll always be like that."
