David Beckham admitted his disappointment after former club Manchester United went crashing down 3-1 in Saturday night's Champions League final. The LA Galaxy star, who is a former captain of the Old Trafford club, said it was disappointing to see some of his old teammates lose to Barcelona but admitted that the Catalan giants were a deserving winner on the night.
"Obviously, a disappointment as a Man United fan,'' Beckham said after helping the Galaxy to a 1-0 win over New England Revolution on Sunday.
"But, obviously, Barcelona are such a great passing team and they're so talented. They've obviously got great individual players and they work great as a team and they work hard as a team.
"But, Manchester United just came up against a very good soccer team. Obviously, disappointed as a Manchester United fan, but I think as a soccer fan, a lot of people probably enjoyed the game.''
