David Beckham is eagerly anticipating the birth of he and wife Victoria's fourth child.
The LA Galaxy star said Mrs Beckham, who is due to give birth in the summer, is doing well and that he cannot wait until he is blessed with another healthy baby.
"She's great, she's very healthy. She's feeling good. She's in London at the moment working," he told the Press Association whilst visiting the Children's Hospital in LA.
"We're very excited. It's an exciting time for the family."
David and Victoria already have three children - 12-year old Brooklyn, eight-year old Romeo and six-year old Cruz - and the ex-England captain said his boys often came on hospital visits with him so they can help out with the sick kids.
"It's difficult at times, especially for the parents of children that are ill and don't have long to live," he added.
"I think it's important that my children see that and they do, they're very respectful and they love visiting hospitals.
"They always pick toys out that are even their favourites that they take down to different kids in different hospitals. The boys love doing that."
