LA Galaxy's Arena excited after capturing Keane from Tottenham

LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena admits it is an exciting time for the club following the capture of Robbie Keane. The 31-year old joined the Galaxy yesterday from Tottenham Hotspur as the club's third Designated Player and Arena, who was watched the career of the striker closely, feels he will be a tremendous addition to his MLS Cup-chasing squad.

"Robbie Keane will be a great addition to our club. I have followed his career and have always respected his ability as a competitor and a goalscorer," Arena said.

"I believe that he brings qualities in and around the penalty area that we have been lacking.

"Hopefully, he will be another piece of the puzzle in our quest for the Supporters' Shield and an MLS Cup championship as well as to advance to the next round of the CONCACAF Champions League."
