LA Galaxy boss Bruce Arena says the club will put no pressure on David Beckham to return from injury sooner than expected. The 35-year old midfielder is still recovering from the serious Achilles injury he sustained at the beginning of the year whilst on loan at Italian giants AC Milan and although he has been back training for two weeks, Arena will remain patient.

"David's in uncharted territory. Nobody really knows," he said.

"You see estimates of how long it takes to come back from this kind of injury but we're really not that clear what the timetable is, hence we're not setting any targets.

"We're very close. We just need to see how he reacts every day."

The Galaxy will be hoping Beckham is back sooner rather than later as they have dropped their past three matches - not great form just eight games out from the play-offs.
