LA Galaxy players on Hammarby radar

Players from the LA Galaxy academy and some more experienced will head to Sweden to train with Superettan club Hammarby IF from the middle of November.

Sportbladet reports that the Swedish outfit will cast their eye over some of what the Galaxy have to offer which has come about via Hammarby's minority owner, AEG, which owns the Los Angeles club.

"We know today not the exact number but we will get players from MLS, and some guys from the Galaxy's Academy here in mid-November to train. The young Galaxy players we want here to compare levels while the other players or more are here to prove themselves," said Hammarby sports director Gustaf Grauers.

"We have already used their scouting network and that I come in contact with some American agents who represent players in MLS. It may also be necessary to borrow one or two players from the Galaxy, but we'll see. We have some experienced Americans on our radar but I will not say more until we see what happens."
