LA Galaxy open door for ex-Leeds, Columbus Crew winger Rogers

LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena says retired winger Robbie Rogers is welcome to train with the MLS champions.

The 25-year old former Columbus Crew and Leeds United man called time on his career in February but mentioned in late March that he would be happy to train with the Galaxy if the opportunity arose.

Now Arena says the former USA international is more than welcome to link up with the back-to-back champs if he wants to resurrect his career.

"He'd always be welcome to train with us," Arena said.

"I'm in contact with players and people all the time in the game, and I don't make my conversations or communications public. They don't need to be. But he's always welcome to train with us."
