With the world media converging on Los Angeles for quotes relating to the possible David Beckham departure, the rest of the LA Galaxy squad were down to the business of playing. The Houston Dynamo, who have been training in Southern California, beat the Los Angeles Galaxy 2-0 on Thursday in a preseason friendly played at The Home Depot Center. Galaxy defender Tony Sanneh - defending against Dynamo forward Kei Kamara - headed the ball into his own net. Brian Mullan powered header just inside the near post for Houston a few minutes later.

The Dynamo continue their pre-season schedule in the Central Coast Showcase on Sunday, February 15, when they face the San Jose Earthquakes in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
