LA Galaxy II marked their first USL PRO fixture with an historic victory on the weekend.
The MLS club's reserve team, which was founded this year, kicked off their 2014 campaign with a 3-1 win over Orange County Blues which had head coach Curt Onalfo in a very positive mood.
"For the inaugural game, it was a special night," Onalfo said.
"The players are buzzing. I thought we played really good soccer. We could have scored a lot more goals than three but we did what it took to win the game convincingly, so I'm pleased."
LA Galaxy II will play their second league match next weekend against newly-formed Sacramento Republic FC at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium.
