LA Galaxy star David Beckham is ready to join Tottenham.
Beckham believes he is close to joining Tottenham after LA Galaxy agreed to a two-month loan stint with an English club.
Spurs entered into formal talks yesterday to try to thrash out a deal. If an agreement is reached, Beckham will jet in from Los Angeles to negotiate the finer points of his contract.
The basis of those discussions will be the use of his lucrative image rights. While Spurs will be entitled to generate cash through shirt sales and the use of "Brand Beckham" during his stay, a cut-off point must be agreed by which the club can no longer profit from his global iconic status.
