LA Galaxy defender Gonzalez attracting European interest
Clubs in France, Germany and England are showing interest in LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez according to reports.
The 23-year old centre-half was the Galaxy’s defensive player of the year as the Los Angeles club scooped the 2011 MLS Cup title and has emerged as a possible target for clubs in Europe.
Gonzalez has only been capped twice by the USA national team meaning it would be hard for him to obtain a work permit to make a move abroad but he would likely command a decent transfer fee for the Galaxy if he was to be sold.
The former Maryland Terrapins star has been left out of recent US squads which could alert the Mexico team as he is also eligible to represent El Tri.
