LA Galaxy have upped their contract offer to Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

The People says the Chelsea star has been offered a two-year contract, worth £3.9m or $6m a year, and Galaxy are also willing to offer a lucrative image rights deal.

But Lampard wants to be certain the Blues' next boss will not insist on keeping him at the Bridge. A deal would end chances of a century of England caps and pose problems with access to his two daughters.
