LA Galaxy complete signing of Ishizaki from Elfsborg

LA Galaxy have confirmed the signing of Swedish midfielder Stefan Ishizaki.

The 31-year old has joined the Galaxy from Elfsborg where he has spent the past eight years. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

"Stefan is an excellent addition to our team," Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena said in a statement. "He is an experienced player, an exceptional passer and a proven winner."

Ishizaki, who has a Japanese father and Swedish mother, kicked off his career with AIK Stockholm in 1999 before leaving in 2004. During his spell in the Swedish capital he spent time on loan with Italian side Lazio.

Since then, he played for Norwegian outfit Valerenga before heading to Elfsborg in 2006. Ishizaki has represented the Sweden national team on two occasions.
