LA Galaxy coach Arena has no complaints after Suwon final defeat

Suwon Samsung Bluewings defeated Los Angeles Galaxy in a penalty shootout to take the Pan-Pacific Championship trophy in Los Angeles. The Galaxy with home field advantage were unable to close out the tournament after coming back from a 1-0 deficit with ten men after defender Sean Franklin was sent off.

Suwon Samsung Bluewings were given the lead by Sean Franklin through an own goal in the first half and the young defender was understandably not 100% about his performance.

"It's just frustrating," Franklin told mlsnet. "I don't think I played that well tonight. I contributed a little bit but I think I could have done better than that."

Head Coach Bruce Arena looked to field a younger side in experience to gain vital playing time for his squad. "I was pleased that this team showed a lot of character coming back," Arena said. "I was impressed. Let's face it. We played a Suwong team that's more experienced. I thought our young guys did a great job."

LA Galaxy entertain D.C. United on March 22nd for their 2009 season opener.
