LA Galaxy are reportedly close to finalising a deal for former Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole.

ESPN's Jeff Carlisleis reporting the Major League Soccer outfit is in discussions with Cole, who has fallen out of favour at Serie A outfit Roma.

The are a number of other clubs who are also said to be weighing up a move for Cole, but it is understood the Galaxy are the current frontrunners for the 35-year-old's signature.
