LA Galaxy are competing with Toronto FC for Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.
The People says Toronto have already made it clear they would like to sign Defoe, while Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy are also keen.
A Hollywood source said: "We would hope that an opportunity to live in LA and link up with his former team-mate Robbie Keane would be enough for him to opt for Galaxy."
