LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan is open to returning to Everton in January.

With the Toffees labouring, Everton boss David Moyes needs the spark that Donovan provided last season to kickstart their campaign.

Donovan told the LA Times he hadn't heard from Everton this season, but insisted: "I'm with LA Galaxy, but I've agreed that should they come in for me I would like to go back to Everton.

"Last season, I really enjoyed my stay there."
