LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan admits he found Chelsea far stronger than Manchester United when facing both clubs while on-loan with Everton.
The USA international tasted victory against both teams.
He told the People: "Chelsea are just so powerful and maybe Manchester United, on the day, didn't have everything. They played in Milan that week and were possibly a little tired.
"But Chelsea were awesome - watching Anelka and Lampard move around the pitch, just seeing how physical Drogba is, how good their backs were. To beat them was very special.
"Facing Ashley Cole before he was injured was a big challenge because he is one of the top two or three left-backs in the world, if not the best.
"I took that challenge very seriously. Maybe that night wasn't his best night though. I expect him to be fully fit come June 12 and if we come up against each other, it will be a lot of fun."
